The Network of Chinese Human Rights Defenders (CHRD) is seeking one independent contractor to provide support service to its research.
Qualifications: An advanced (graduate) degree or equivalent in international relations, journalism, law, or other social sciences, and working experiences in a related field, are required.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent written and spoken language skill in English and Mandarin Chinese.
- Good knowledge of, and demonstrated research skills, such as fact checking and data processing, in the relevant fields.
- Familiarity with the Chinese legal system and human rights issues.
- High proficiency in using digital security applications.
- Strong skills to work collaboratively and independently.
If based in the US, permission to work legally in the US is required. Non-citizens of the US may apply for working from outside the US.
Salary and Benefits:
CHRD offers competitive contractual payment, negotiable on the basis of demonstrated experiences. CHRD does not provide benefits for independent contractual service providers.
