Guangdong lawyer Wang Quanping (王全平) was criminally detained on a charge of “creating a disturbance” by Beijing police. Wang had driven to Beijing all the way from Jiangmen City in Guangdong with his car painted with sarcastic messages mocking the government’s persecution of New Citizens’ Movement members. 人权捍卫者 (CHRD)对近日发生在黑龙江的多名律师及他们的声援者遭到来自警察和暴徒的暴力侵害感到震惊。这是又一起维权律师因捍卫被代理人的权利而遭到报复性攻击的恶性事件。3月21日,黑龙江省建三江市的警察关押了四名代理遭到非法羁押的法轮功学员的律师:张俊杰、江天勇、唐吉田和王成。随后,警察又抓了赶来呼吁要求释放四名律师的其他律师和公民。前后共有至少23人被行政拘留。截至目前,仍有15位公民被关押。CHRD强烈要求中国政府调查这一系列事件件中所涉及的暴力侵害、任意羁押、和对这些律师和公民实施的恐吓威胁,并追究相关人员的刑事责任。
