China presented a “mutually beneficial cooperation” resolution at the UN Human Rights Council, which was debated on June 22. The resolution directly taken from Chinese Communist Party propaganda and modeled on its authoritarian governance would silence criticisms of rights abuses at the council’s mechanisms.
