（中国人权捍卫者—2020年1月31日）中国政府在应对2019新型冠状病毒爆发时必须尊重人权，包括取消审查、停止警方恐吓和任意拘留、放宽无差别的出行限制以及消除针对武汉和湖北省居民社会歧视。人权绝不能成为政府遏制新冠病毒爆发措施的牺牲品。据中国官方数据，截止到2月3日，新冠疫情已导致370人死亡，数百万人受到各种影响。媒体和互联网信息的自由流动、民间社会的参与以及便利的物资和急救人员的及时行动和调配，对于有效应对这次全球卫生紧急状况十分必要。
